Forêts d'Afrique Centrale Evaluées par Télédétection (FACET) atlases were produced for the Democratic Republic of Congo, The Republic of Congo and Gabon and made available both as paper atlases as well as downloadable and interactive map products. FACET is a forest cover and forest loss classification including several different types of forest and their loss for the periods 2000-2005 and 2005-2010. FACET was made in partnership with the Kinshasa, DRC, based OSFAC with funding from USAID CARPE II. FACET was a methodological preursor to GFC and is used in the investigation of LCLUC dynamics still in CARPE III.
